The Hibs News

For all those living at home and abroad, the Hibs are having a good season down the various levels.

The senior side are set to secure their first premier league title as Ron Breen moves them some 11 points clear at the top. Although nearest challengers Ross Celtic sit fourth 13 points behind with 5 games in hand, The Hibs current form suggests the title is on the way to Courtown for the first time. Next game for the lads is a trip to Wexford Bohs on Sunday in the Air Con Wexford Cup quarter finals. Good luck lads.

The second team had a comfortable 4-1 over Wexford Bohs seconds in their Division 3A game with goals from Conor Fortune, Ger Carey, Colm O'Brien and the ageless Paul Swinburne. They now sit fourth in the table and are still in with a chance of promotion.

The Youth team under Pat Misqilla are sitting pretty in the top four.

Under the guidance of Ben Casserly the under 14s are in with a chance of winning the title and promotion with it. Great season for some u14 players. Pappy Fortune is the teams leading scorer with 11 goals in just 9 appearances. He is also with the u14 Wexford panel, and was recently selected for the regionals. Congrats to Pappy. Conor Casserly is with the Wexford U13 Kennedy Cup squad the tournament takes place in Limerick University this coming June and in a recent tournament in Belgium he was awarded player of the tournament. He is also captain of the Gorey Community school team who play TODAY in the Leinster Schools Quarter Finals against Wexford CBS. Watch this space for the result.

The U10s and the U8s continue to progress.
The U12 are one game away from a league title under the management of Rob Moore. Last Tuesday they defeated Bridge Rovers 9-1 and now the game against Ferns will be a title decider.
